DISASTER RECOVERY

Failing to plan or anticipate for disasters is a huge risk for all companies, large or small.

While large companies may need and be able to afford complex disaster recovery solutions, smaller ones should also have basic business continuity plans in place.

Our FatNinjas have several plans that range from affordable off-site computer backups to on-site and cloud computer & server backups to dedicated disaster recovery hardware located within a local data centre.

RTO – Recovery Time Objective

This is the target time for recovery of your business activities after a disaster. A two hour RTO indicates that all data must be accessible after 120 minutes.

RPO – Recovery Point Objective

This refers to the data loss tolerance of a company. A one day RPO is the willingness to lose up to 24 hours of data.

Depending on how quickly you need to recover from your disaster, we have differing RTO/RPO options for you to choose from.

How do I decide on a RTO and RPO?

Large companies would normally need to recover from a disaster more quickly and have the funds to afford lower RTOs & RPOs. Compare our plans and match your tolerance for data loss and outage with the costs. If budgets are an issue, start small, then set aside more budgets as you grow.
